De Panzazo is a documentary that investigates the state of education in Mexico, exploring how students pass through school without acquiring essential life skills. The film examines an exclusionary system through interviews with parents, teachers, principals, union officials, and education experts, alongside footage shot by students themselves. Over three years of production, the filmmakers traveled across Mexico—from Ciudad Juárez to the Yucatán Peninsula, Morelia, the mountains of Chiapas and Guerrero, and Mexico City neighborhoods like Naucalpan and Iztapalapa—capturing the daily realities of schools serving diverse communities.
