Waiting for the Light is a family comedy about single mother Kay Harris who inherits a struggling diner in a small town. When her eccentric Aunt Zena stages an elaborate practical joke meant to seem ghostly, Zena suffers a stroke before revealing the truth. The townspeople mistake the prank for a genuine spiritual vision, and suddenly the diner becomes the center of a spiritual phenomenon. Kay must navigate the chaos of her community's newfound faith while caring for her aunt and saving her failing business. As the hoax spirals beyond her control, Kay discovers that sometimes the most unexpected circumstances can bring people together and restore what matters most.
