The Wolf Farm(1943)

The Wolf Farm is a French crime thriller following Bastien, a journalist, and Furet, a photographer, who work as a team for the newspaper L'Echo du Jour. When they're about to leave for a weekend getaway with Micky, their boss's secretary, they're dispatched to cover the murder of a Russian man known as le Moujik. What begins as a routine assignment pulls them into a dangerous investigation that unravels far beyond a simple homicide. As they dig deeper into the case, the pair discovers connections that threaten to expose something much larger and more sinister. The film balances noir sensibilities with dark humor as the two reporters navigate the murky underworld surrounding their subject's death, testing both their professional partnership and personal limits.
