Ridin' on a Rainbow is a Western musical from 1941 starring Gene Autry as an investigator who infiltrates a traveling showboat to solve a bank heist. When two criminals use a parade as cover to rob the local bank, their accomplice—a clown named Pop—stashes the stolen money aboard the boat and enlists his daughter Patsy to retrieve it at the next river stop. Gene and his sidekick Frog go undercover as performers to track down the loot while protecting Patsy and uncovering the robbery scheme.
