Adalet Oyunu(2011)

Adalet Oyunu is a Turkish thriller about a retired judge whose faith in the justice system shatters when his daughter is murdered and her accused killer is acquitted in court. Convinced of his son-in-law İlker's guilt despite the verdict, Sezgin abandons his life in Istanbul and relocates to a quiet coastal town. There, he constructs a basement cell and kidnaps İlker, imprisoning him indefinitely as an act of vigilante justice. Sezgin's retired judge friends—Fuat, Nedim, and Erdal—along with his wife Nazan, a prosecutor, visit regularly to maintain his isolation. But their suspicions grow as they notice the timing of Sezgin's sudden departure, his daughter's closed case file, and İlker's simultaneous disappearance. The film explores the moral collapse of a man who abandons the law he once upheld, trapped between his certainty of guilt and the system that failed him.
