Carpool is a comedy film about a businessman forced to drive his neighborhood's school carpool when his wife falls ill. After stopping for donuts, he's robbed at gunpoint—but things spiral when a desperate bank robber steals from the thieves and takes the van full of kids hostage after his own getaway goes wrong. What follows is a chaotic chase across town. As the father struggles to regain control, he realizes his children actually respect the criminal more than him. Through the mayhem, unlikely bonds form and everyone involved—the businessman, the kids, the robber, and even the donut shop owner—discovers something unexpected about themselves. The film balances slapstick humor with surprising heart as these strangers learn what really matters.
