The Eternal Fountain(2012)

The Eternal Fountain is a Japanese drama that aired as an NHK Saturday special. Lawyer Akio Yamauchi becomes the court-appointed attorney for Yoji Kuramoto, who has confessed to murdering his wife. As Yamauchi investigates Kuramoto's movements in Yamanaka and grows convinced of his innocence, he's drawn into painful memories of his own wife, who died twelve years before. The case forces Yamauchi to confront his grief while fighting to prove his client didn't commit the crime he's admitted to.
