Nightmare Man is a horror film that begins when Ellen receives an exotic mask by mistake and descends into waking nightmares and violent hallucinations. Her husband and doctors dismiss her experiences as paranoid schizophrenia, committing her to a psychiatric ward. During transport, their car breaks down and a sinister figure emerges—the Nightmare Man. Ellen escapes and finds refuge in a remote country house where two young couples are spending the weekend. As terror mounts, no one can determine whether the killer is real or a manifestation of Ellen's fractured mind, or whether the threat lurks outside or already stalks the halls within. The film blurs the line between psychological breakdown and genuine danger, trapping its characters in mounting dread.
