Soursweet(1988)

Soursweet follows a newly married Hong Kong couple, Chen and Lily, as they build a life in England with their newborn son. While Chen works grueling restaurant shifts, Lily dreams of starting their own business—a vision Chen resists. When Chen falls into gambling debt through a colleague's influence, he's drawn into courier work for a Chinese triad. Desperate and trapped, Chen begins to see their entrepreneurial dream as their only path to freedom and safety.
