The Deepening follows a New York firefighter battling PTSD in the aftermath of 9/11. Hoping to escape his trauma, he relocates to a quiet small town for a fresh start. But his nightmares persist and intensify as the town's population mysteriously dwindles. What begins as a personal struggle with grief and survivor's guilt transforms into something far more sinister. The firefighter must confront both his inner demons and the dark forces at work in his new home. As residents vanish one by one, he realizes that moving away from tragedy may not be enough to outrun it.
