How much is enough, Barquero?

Barquero is a Western standoff film centered on outlaw Jake Remy and his gang, fleeing Mexico after a heist. Their escape route is blocked by a river crossable only by ferry. When barge operator Travis refuses to transport the criminals and evacuates most of the town across the water, Remy's gang finds themselves stranded on the wrong bank. What follows is a tense confrontation as both sides—separated by the river—hold hostages and leverage. Travis and the townspeople must decide how far they'll go to keep the outlaws at bay, while Remy plots his next move. The river becomes both barrier and battlefield in this cat-and-mouse game where neither side can afford to back down completely.
