The Actors(2003)

The Actors is a comedy film that follows Anthony O'Malley, a self-absorbed stage performer struggling through a disastrous production of Richard III. Seeking authenticity for his role, O'Malley begins drinking at a rough Dublin pub where he encounters Barreller, a small-time crook drowning in debt to a dangerous lender. Spotting a chance for quick cash, O'Malley hatches a scheme to impersonate the debt collector, recruiting Tom, a hapless extra from his theatre production, to pose as the enforcer. What starts as a simple con spirals into chaos as the amateur criminals find themselves in over their heads, entangled with genuine underworld figures far more menacing than they anticipated. The film balances dark humor with genuine danger as the bungling actors discover that real crime is far messier than anything they could stage.
