Cafard(2015)

Cafard is a 1914 war drama following Jean Mordant, a wrestling champion abroad in Buenos Aires when German forces occupy his Belgian hometown. After his daughter Mimi is assaulted by occupiers, Jean vows vengeance and enlists in the ACM, an armored car division, alongside his coach Victor and nephew Guido. The unit struggles through the muddy Flanders terrain before being reassigned to the Eastern front. Jean's determination fractures when he learns Mimi is pregnant, yet the brutal conditions of war force him and his companions onward. Their journey becomes a harrowing odyssey that carries them across continents, testing loyalty and resolve against the chaos of global conflict.
