Infection is a sci-fi horror film about a meteor crash that brings an alien organism to a small California town. When rancher Larry Jenkins discovers the impact site and alerts police, Inspector Bardo arrives to investigate—only to become infected himself. The contaminated lawman and Jenkins head toward the town of Lawton, spreading the deadly organism to everyone they encounter. A young woman named Cheryl, attacked on Lover's Lane after the prom, becomes the infection's next target when her boyfriend Timmy is infected. Now Cheryl must flee through the dark forest, evading her pursuers and racing to warn authorities before the alien plague reaches Los Angeles. As the infection spreads, the small police force—already stretched thin on prom night—struggles to contain the outbreak before it becomes unstoppable.
