Under the Shadow is a supernatural horror film set during the Iran-Iraq War in Tehran. When a missile strikes Shideh's apartment building, a superstitious neighbor plants a terrifying idea: the weapon carries a curse and malevolent spirits. Shideh becomes convinced that a supernatural force has infiltrated the building and is targeting her daughter Dorsa for possession. Trapped between the horrors of war outside and something far more sinister within, Shideh must confront the entity threatening her family. The film weaves historical tension with genuine dread, exploring how fear—both rational and otherworldly—can consume a mother desperate to protect her child in a time of chaos.
