Young Mother 4 is a South Korean drama following Woo-jin, a college entrance exam repeater, as he returns to his small island hometown with his friend Taek-sik. There he reconnects with his mother Hyeon-sook, who runs a modest sashimi restaurant and bed-and-breakfast to support them both. Hyeon-sook maintains a complicated relationship with local man Bong-seong, who repeatedly proposes marriage despite her reluctance. When Woo-jin accidentally witnesses an intimate moment between his mother and Bong-seong, the discovery becomes a turning point that forces him to confront uncomfortable truths about her private life and his own assumptions about family.
