After the War is an Italian thriller set in Bologna in 2002, where labor protests and political tension collide with a shocking assassination. When a lawyer is murdered, suspicion falls on Marco, a former far-left terrorist who fled to Paris decades earlier under the Mitterrand Doctrine after conviction during Italy's Years of Lead. Now facing extradition demands from the Italian government, Marco goes underground with his daughter Viola, upending not only his own life but also that of his family still living in Italy. The film explores the lingering ghosts of political violence and the impossible choices faced by those caught between two nations and two eras.
