The Unidentified(2008)

The Unidentified is a gritty indie drama following Estlin, an idealistic young journalist struggling through entry-level work at a New York newspaper. When his best friend Brooke abandons Brooklyn for Ohio, Estlin drifts into a romance with Sophie, an enigmatic artist whose optimism masks carefully guarded secrets. As their relationship deepens, Estlin's unwavering commitment to truth clashes with Sophie's need for privacy, forcing both to confront what they're willing to sacrifice for love. Shot partly at a real anti-war protest in Washington D.C., the film examines idealism and apathy among today's youth while echoing the social consciousness of the 1960s.
