Citizen Boilesen(2009)

Citizen Boilesen is a documentary that examines the life and crimes of Henning Boilesen Jr., a wealthy Danish businessman who became one of Chile's military regime's most ardent supporters. During the brutal dictatorship, Boilesen financed the government and actively participated in the torture of political prisoners. His collaboration with the regime made him a target for opposition groups. In 1971, members of militant organizations opposed to the junta assassinated him, ending a chapter defined by wealth, power, and violence. The film traces how one man's allegiance to authoritarian rule led to his downfall and explores the moral complexities of complicity during periods of state terror.
