Loup(2009)
Loup follows sixteen-year-old Sergei, son of Boris, the leader of the Batagi reindeer-breeding clan. Newly appointed herdsman of the clan's largest herd, Sergei embarks on his first summer cattle drive with the Evenk tribe across Siberia's mountain pastures. The reindeer represent the tribe's sole livelihood and greatest treasure, making them targets for their most dangerous predator: the wolf. As Sergei navigates the harsh landscape and his responsibilities, he must help protect the herd from both natural threats and the constant danger lurking in the wilderness. This coming-of-age adventure explores survival, tradition, and the bond between herders and their animals in one of the world's most unforgiving environments.
