Second Life is a South Korean drama following Seon-hee, a high school girl whose compulsive lying destroys her closest friendship. When Jung-mi takes her own life in the wake of Seon-hee's deceptions, guilt forces Seon-hee to flee Seoul for the anonymity of the countryside. There, she reinvents herself as Seul-ki, attempting to build a fresh existence among strangers who know nothing of her past. The film explores themes of redemption, identity, and the weight of consequences as Seon-hee navigates her second chance. Her new life in rural isolation becomes both sanctuary and reckoning, testing whether she can truly escape who she was or if her past will inevitably catch up with her.
