Fists of Absinthe(2015)

Fists of Absinthe is a comedy-action film following Frank, a samurai enthusiast visiting Japan for the first time. When his friend Hiro takes him to a dingy local bar, Frank strikes out with a woman and drowns his sorrows in a mysterious glowing green absinthe. After Hiro joins him in a drink, both men black out and wake in Edo-era Japan. Stranded centuries in the past, Frank and Hiro must navigate a chaotic landscape of samurai and ninja battles while searching for a way home. The film blends time-slip adventure with comedic mishaps as the unlikely pair fumbles through feudal Japan, relying on each other's wits to survive increasingly absurd encounters and find their escape route back to the modern world.
