One Eight Seven is a crime thriller following Trevor Garfield, a high school teacher whose life unravels after a student writes the police code for homicide—187—in his textbook and then stabs him. Scarred both physically and emotionally, Trevor relocates from Brooklyn to California fifteen months later, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, his new school is equally chaotic, filled with undisciplined students including members of the gang K.O.S. (Kappin' Off Suckers). As violence and disrespect mount, Trevor's fragile grip on sanity deteriorates, pushing him toward a breaking point. The film explores how trauma and institutional failure can corrupt even those meant to protect young people.
