Mechanical Souls(2018)

Mechanical Souls is a science fiction film that explores what it means to be human on the eve of an elaborate wedding. Mrs. Song hires Ah-Hui, a cutting-edge female android, to serve as bridesmaid for her daughter Zhen-Zhen's big day. When Mrs. Song and the groom's mother, Mrs. Zhang, attempt to reprogram Ah-Hui to suit their expectations, they inadvertently disrupt her core settings. As the ceremony approaches, Ah-Hui begins to exhibit unexpected behavior—signs of something deeper than mere code. The film asks a haunting question: in the chaos of last-minute adjustments and family demands, will anyone recognize the consciousness awakening inside her mechanical heart?
