Dawning(2009)

Dawning is a horror film that traps a family in escalating terror when a frenzied stranger arrives at their remote Northern Minnesota cottage with warnings of an unspeakable evil. Two adult siblings have retreated to the wilderness with their father and stepmother for a peaceful escape, but the discovery of their brutally slain dog shatters any sense of safety. A wild-eyed man emerges from the woods claiming he alone can protect them from the darkness outside—yet his presence only deepens suspicion and fear. As paranoia spreads through the isolated cabin, the family realizes their greatest threat may not be the unknown menace in the forest, but the distrust festering among themselves. Dawning explores how isolation and uncertainty corrode the bonds meant to keep us safe.
