Jerry Garcia Band: Live at Shoreline(2005)
Jerry Garcia Band: Live at Shoreline is a concert film capturing a deeply moving performance from September 1, 1990, at the Shoreline Amphitheater in California. Originally scheduled as a Grateful Dead show, the concert took on added emotional weight following the death of the band's keyboardist Brent Mydland in July. Rather than cancel, the Garcia Band delivered an intimate, heartfelt set that honored both the music and the memory of their lost bandmate. The performance spans two sets of covers and originals, including renditions of "Dear Prudence," "I Second That Emotion," and "Tangled Up in Blue." The live recording stands as a poignant document of a band coming together during grief, showcasing Jerry Garcia's enduring musicianship and the ensemble's deep connection to their material and to one another.
