Whiteout(2000)

Whiteout is a Japanese action thriller about a terrorist siege at the country's largest dam. When extremists seize the facility and hold workers hostage, they demand $5 billion yen from the government with a 24-hour deadline. A severe snowstorm isolates the area, cutting off outside access and rescue efforts. The terrorists overlook Togashi, the dam's controller, who remains free—and becomes the only person capable of stopping them and saving the hostages. Trapped by weather and outnumbered, Togashi must navigate the facility and outsmart the attackers before time runs out.
