For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down is a drama about redemption and reckoning. Jerry Bines carries a troubled past—a killing in self-defence, theft, and an abusive alcoholic father—but sees a chance at salvation by donating bone marrow to his son, who has leukemia. Time grows short when an escaped killer, Gary Percy Rils, arrives in town seeking revenge for old wrongs. Like the hunted buck in a folktale Bines tells his son, he must stop fleeing and turn to confront his pursuer. The film explores how a man's past catches up with him just as he's fighting to secure his family's future.
