Blueprint(2003)
Blueprint is a science fiction film that explores the profound consequences of human cloning. Renowned composer Iris Sellin faces an incurable illness and, desperate to preserve her legacy and immortality, makes the controversial decision to clone herself. Her daughter Siri becomes the world's first cloned human—a genetic blueprint of her mother. As Siri grows up aware of her origins, she grapples with the weight of being her mother's duplicate and the impossible expectations that come with it. The narrative unfolds through Siri's perspective as she confronts questions of identity, autonomy, and what it means to live in someone else's shadow. The film examines the ethical complexities and emotional toll of playing god with genetics, while exploring the tension between a parent's desire for immortality and a child's right to her own existence.
