Ibu is a supernatural horror film about a widow struggling to connect with her rebellious teenage stepdaughter after her husband's death. Their fractured bond leaves the girl vulnerable to darker forces. A Pontianak—a vengeful spirit born from a woman's death in childbirth—senses the stepdaughter's loneliness and begins to prey on her. Caught between grief and maternal duty, the widow must overcome her own pain and find the strength to protect her stepdaughter from the supernatural threat. As the spirit's influence grows, she discovers what it truly means to be a mother and guardian, fighting to save the girl before the Pontianak claims her forever.
