Beneath a Sea of Lights follows a Somali billboard repairman in Dubai who becomes fascinated by the luxury goods advertised on the billboards he maintains. When he decides to sample the products himself, his innocent curiosity spirals into chaos after a cunning con man exploits his ambitions. What starts as small indulgences transforms into a dangerous game of deception and desire, trapping the protagonist between his dreams of a better life and the ruthless schemes of those willing to manipulate him. The film explores the collision between aspiration and reality in a glittering city where appearances mask darker truths.
