Old Ironside(1948)

Old Ironside is a film about an aging train driver named Matys who rescues his beloved locomotive Líza from destruction at the end of a war. Though both man and machine are damaged in the process, Matys heroically steps in to prevent a catastrophic train accident, substituting for his injured son-in-law. Rather than being celebrated, he's forced into retirement. Determined to prove his worth and restore his reputation, Matys sets out to rebuild Líza alongside a group of apprentices, combining his decades of experience with their youthful energy in a moving tale of resilience and redemption.
