The Last Meeting(1974)

The Last Meeting is a Soviet drama about a writer named Pavel Snegirev who returns to his childhood village decades after the war. There he encounters Klim Avilov, a collective farm foreman and old friend who has never forgiven Pavel for breaking his promise to return after military service. Klim's resentment runs deeper still—Pavel abandoned Anichka, a woman who waited faithfully for him all those years.
