Water by the Spoonful is a drama about four strangers bound by addiction and recovery. A janitor, a software executive, a college graduate, and an IRS clerk live across the country but meet in an online chat room where they support each other through their struggles. Using humor and tough love, they navigate the messy work of staying sober. When an Iraq War veteran's personal crisis erupts in their digital sanctuary, the fragile community fractures. The film explores how connection forms across distance, how shame isolates, and what it takes to help someone in crisis. Rooted in real experience and emotional honesty, Water by the Spoonful examines addiction, friendship, and the complicated ways people save each other.
