Song of Compassion(1939)

Song of Compassion is a 1939 period drama adapted from a Dong-A Ilbo literary work. A young woman in a Korean village falls for a talented musician, but her parents arrange a marriage to another man. When her love interest departs to study in Japan, she reluctantly accepts her fate and marries as her family wishes. On her wedding day, he returns, only to find he's too late. Grief-stricken and adrift, the woman eventually finds solace through music, organizing a concert in her homeland with encouragement from friends.
