Dudde Doddappa(1966)

Dudde Doddappa is a 1966 Indian Kannada-language film directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu, who also stars alongside M. V. Rajamma, Ramesh, and Narasimharaju. The film proved popular enough to be remade across regional Indian cinema, spawning a Tamil version called Namma Veettu Lakshmi the same year and a Telugu adaptation titled Lakshmi Nivasam in 1968. These remakes underscore the film's resonance with audiences across South India during the 1960s, a period when stories were frequently adapted to suit different linguistic and cultural contexts.
