Halfway(2017)

Halfway is a drama about a man navigating the collision between two worlds. Recently released from prison, he returns to a small, predominantly white farming community in Wisconsin to start over on probation. The tension mounts as his criminal past threatens to derail his fragile new life, while the town's conservative culture and racial dynamics create constant friction. Caught between old temptations and genuine attempts at redemption, he must find a way to belong in a place that views him with suspicion. The film explores themes of second chances, identity, and the systemic barriers facing formerly incarcerated people trying to reintegrate into society.
