Keywords is a documentary that traces how journalist Gideon Levy's reporting from occupied territories becomes theater, then film. Over two decades, Levy's articles documenting harsh realities reach Israeli readers; a playwright adapts his work for the stage, a director stages it, and actors perform it for audiences. The film examines this chain of mediation—how stories pass through multiple hands and formats before reaching people. It questions whether media and art can still create genuine human connection in an era where information has become a commodity. Keywords ultimately asks whether these layers of adaptation bring us closer to truth or further away from it.
