Obsessed is a 1969 period drama following a clandestine romance between Colonel Jin Pyeong and Jong Ga Heun, the Chinese-Korean wife of Captain Kyung Woo Jin. Trapped in a loveless marriage to Soo Jin, Jin Pyeong finds himself drawn into a passionate affair during a sweltering summer that threatens to unravel the carefully maintained facades of military life. As desire intensifies between the two, the affair becomes increasingly difficult to conceal, putting both lovers at risk of exposure and ruin. The film explores the collision between duty and longing, examining how forbidden attraction can destabilize the rigid hierarchies of military society. Tension mounts as the summer progresses, forcing each character to confront the consequences of their choices and the impossibility of sustaining their secret in a world where reputation is everything.
