Spectators(1984)

Spectators is a film about desire and disconnection within a long-term relationship. Kay and Paul, dissatisfied with their intimate life, experiment with bringing others into their bed at Paul's urging. But Paul's interest lies solely in watching Kay with other partners before claiming her for himself afterward. As Kay explores her sexuality through a series of encounters, she discovers a confidence and self-awareness Paul never gave her. The experience awakens something in her that makes their arrangement untenable. Kay eventually walks away, leaving Paul bewildered and alone, forced to confront what his voyeurism has cost him.
