Troublemakers(1994)
How The West was almost lost
Troublemakers is a comedy about two estranged brothers forced to reunite for the holidays. Bitter and resentful toward each other, they reluctantly return home to spend Christmas with their mother, who is determined to mend their fractured relationship. As the festive season unfolds, tensions simmer beneath forced family dinners and awkward moments, but their mother refuses to accept defeat. She orchestrates situations designed to push them toward reconciliation, hoping that proximity and nostalgia might heal old wounds. The brothers must confront the grievances that drove them apart while navigating their mother's well-meaning but often misguided attempts at intervention. What emerges is a heartfelt exploration of family dysfunction, forgiveness, and the complicated bonds that tie us to those we love most, even when we'd rather avoid them entirely.
