The XYY Man(1976)

The XYY Man is a British crime thriller series from 1976–77 that follows William "Spider" Scott, a reformed cat burglar with an extra Y chromosome who's recruited by British intelligence for covert operations. Created by Kenneth Royce and based on his novel series, the show explores Scott's reluctant work for the secret service while he's constantly pursued by determined Detective Sergeant George Bulman. The premise plays on the pseudoscientific notion that his genetic makeup predisposes him to crime, creating tension between his criminal past and his new role as an intelligence asset. The series proved popular enough to spawn two spin-offs: Strangers and Bulman, which followed the detective's further adventures in the espionage world.
