Dog City(1992)

Dog City is an animated-live action puppet series that blends two worlds: the noir-tinged cases of Ace Hart, a hard-boiled canine detective, and the behind-the-scenes reality of Eliot Shag, the German Shepherd animator who brings him to life. The show toggles between Ace's gritty investigations in a dog-populated city and Eliot's struggles in the live-action studio, where the line between creation and creator grows increasingly blurred. Part mystery, part comedy, Dog City plays with the tension between fictional adventure and the messy work of making it happen.
