Letting Go(1992)

Letting Go is a drama series about family estrangement and second chances. Ten years after her mother Li Zhijun remarried, Dong Ruojing fled to France, unable to accept the new relationship. Now grown, Ruojing returns to Hong Kong with her girlfriend Liu Yali, hoping to repair their fractured bond and gain her mother's blessing for their marriage. But old resentments and clashing personalities threaten to derail any reconciliation. When Ruojing's biological father unexpectedly appears at her wedding, long-buried tensions resurface. A devastating misunderstanding between mother and daughter forces Ruojing to make an impossible choice: stay and fight for her family, or return to Paris and the life she's built there. The series explores how love and acceptance can coexist with hurt and anger.
