Gentle Reflections(1994)

Gentle Reflections is a Hong Kong drama series based on the classic Chinese novel "Kam Ping Mui". The story follows three women—Lin, Yi, and Mui—whose lives become entangled in cycles of love, betrayal, and revenge. Lin is trapped in a loveless marriage to Long and falls into an affair with Hing, plotting her husband's death. Yi loves Chung but marries another man, Hui, only to watch Hing murder him out of lust for her. Yi then feigns marriage to Hing to exact her revenge. As Lin and Yi compete for Hing's affections, Mui, Lin's maid, finds herself caught in their dangerous web. The series explores how passion and desperation drive these women to dark choices, weaving together themes of desire, murder, and retribution across generations.
