Like Crazy Birds is a Greek historical drama spanning four decades of one woman's life. Based on Maria Iordanidou's autobiography, the narrative follows Anna, granddaughter of Loxandra, from the destruction of her family home in Constantinople through displacement to Alexandria and eventually Athens. After marrying Christidis, Anna builds a life in the Greek capital, working as a secretary at the Soviet embassy. Her journey grows darker during the German occupation, when she is arrested by the Gestapo and endures severe hardship. Surviving the war and the subsequent Greek civil war, Anna perseveres to raise her children amid the turbulent upheaval of twentieth-century Greece. The series captures intimate personal struggles against the backdrop of sweeping historical trauma.
