Live Shot(1995)

Live Shot is an American drama series that aired on UPN in fall 1995, centered on the newsroom of fictional Los Angeles station KXZX and its Re-Action News division. The ensemble cast, led by Jeff Yagher, featured no single protagonist, an unusual approach for television at the time. The show pioneered an ongoing murder mystery involving a Los Angeles socialite, but the plot remained unresolved when UPN abruptly canceled the series. In its final episode, sports reporter Lou Waller came out as gay in the closing moments—a groundbreaking moment whose consequences were never explored on screen. Live Shot became a casualty of network television's unpredictable scheduling, leaving multiple narrative threads permanently dangling.
