Test Pattern was MuchMusic's debut game show, airing in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hosted by Dan Gallagher and featuring Bill St. Amour on music and sound, the series challenged Canadian musicians in a points-based competition where contestants selected topics using foam bricks. Announcer Bill Carroll guided players through rounds that tested their knowledge of music and pop culture. Winners earned prizes ranging from toasters to trips, with season one's five-time champions advancing to a Tournament of Champions for a home stereo.
