Lazer Tag Academy is an animated series that brings the 1980s laser tag craze to television. Created by Ruby-Spears Productions and inspired by Worlds of Wonder's Lazer Tag game, the show follows a team of young players navigating high-stakes battles in a futuristic setting. Blending action and adventure with the era's signature sci-fi aesthetic, the series aired on NBC from September to December 1986. The show later found new life in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel under the title Lazer Patrol, introducing the concept to a fresh audience through Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.
