The Adventures of Timothy Pilgrim(1975)

The Adventures of Timothy Pilgrim is a Canadian children's series from 1975 consisting of ten 15-minute episodes. A shoeshine boy named Timothy discovers a magic trunk that transports him back a century to 1875, where he meets Zachariah Gibson, a travelling salesman hawking dubious medicinal elixirs. Stranded between two eras, the pair form an unlikely friendship as they navigate the challenges of both worlds. Timothy, an orphan living in an abandoned warehouse and working odd jobs at a local diner, must adapt to the nineteenth century, while Zachariah learns the true meaning of companionship. Originally broadcast on TVOntario and later rerun across Canadian educational channels and PBS, the series explores themes of friendship and belonging through the eyes of two characters separated by time.
